Wood is a haven for fungi. Molds and fungi require moisture and nutrients to survive. The lignin, cellulose, water and other organic materials found in wood makes it conductive for molds and fungi to thrive on it, especially on soft woods which have moisture content.

Fungi diminishes the aesthetic value of wood by the bluish color it creates. It reduces its economic value even if it does not weaken the wood. Usaully when they colonize, its is followed by wood rotting fungi that totally ruin the material. It also disfigures wood and increases susceptibility to other bio-disintegration process. And lastly, it attracts large population of insects creating more change.

All these are bad news for wood and all related materials like bamboo, rattan and other natural forest products that's why we need a total protection against molds and fungi!

LEADRITE 25. a wood preserving fungicide, is formulated to control molds and sapstain fungi by making the vitamin-like compound needed for cell wall formation, unavailable to them. Thereby, inhibiting their growth and prevents infestation.

Essentially, there are two treatments for wood preservation: drying and by applying a fungicide. Drying requires a special expensive facility. Treatment with fungicides is therefore a more realistic alternative and LEADRITE 25 is the most effective fungicide to provide your wood the protection it needs.
